The technology company PerkinElmer has signed a definitive agreement to acquire biotechnology company ViaCell the amount of 300 million dollars. Under the terms of the agreement, PerkinElmer will pay $ 7.25 per share, or approximately $ 300 million in cash. The transaction was approved by the directors of both companies, according to some conditions, the same shall be finalized in the last quarter of 2007.
