PhET physics simulation applications offering an interactive and fun. PhET Simulation-based study of physical phenomena. The developers believe that PhET research-based approach that incorporates the findings of previous studies and had passed the test, enabling students to examine the relationship between daily physical phenomena and the underlying science as well as deepen the understanding and appreciation of the physical world.
To help students understand the concepts visually, presenting PhET simulations through the use of a variety of display pnas graphics and intuitive controls such as click and drag (click and drag) slides, and radio buttons. To further encourage quantitative exploration, the simulations also provide measuring instruments such as rulers, stopwatch, voltmeter and thermometer. As users interact with the various intuitive pnas controls, auto-respond applications and then publish it in animated form that effectively illustrate the causal relationships in a scientific experiment as well as some related representations (motion of objects, graphics, etc.).
To ensure the achievement of learning effectiveness, the whole simulation has been extensively tested and evaluated. Test the feasibility of the software includes interviews with the users of the students in addition to actual utilization in various occasions, including in lectures, group work, homework and lab. Rating system by the development team PhET listed on the website shows the extent of testing that has been done. The entire pnas PhET simulations are available for free on the official website PhET. To support the optimization of learning science, applications PhET can be used online or offlline.
PhET applications written in the Java programming language with support for Macromedia Flash animations. Applications can diijalankan on a standard pnas web browser (Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer 8, Safari) by first installing Macromedia Flash and Java.
