If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. 這句話有很多面向 先從根本的原文說起 這句話是由 心理學家 亞伯拉罕·馬斯洛 ( April 1, 1908 – June 8, 1970 )在 1966年所提出 馬斯洛就是提出 著名的需求層級理論的美國 心理學家大師 他 說 “ I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail . ”  如果你唯一的工具是把錘子 你很容易把每件事情都當成釘子來處理
不過根據記載 最早的紀錄是在1964年美國另一位 心理學家   Abraham Kaplan 's, 所提出的 工具理論 : "I call it  the law of the instrument ,  and it may be formulated as follows: Give a small boy a hammer, and he will find that everything he encounters needs pounding ."
